Carole E. Dixon

Carole E. (Hess) Dixon, age 66, of Evansville, IN passed away at 8:54 p.m. on Friday March 12, 2021 at her home with family at her side.

Carole was born May 24, 1954 in Evansville IN to John and Mary Catherine (Mattingly) Hess. She graduated from Rex Mundi Catholic High School. She worked as a LPN and a MDS coordinator for 13 years and was in the industry 36 years. She retired from the Newburgh Healthcare Center. She worked hard for her family, was an amazing mother and we were so blessed to be part of her family. She loved basketball and was the biggest IU fan we ever knew. She adored her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved the ocean as she said it always took all her worries away.

Carole is survived by her husband Robert W. Dixon, daughters, Kathleen Byers (Myron), Adeline Chinn(Clarence ), Julie Deken and 7 grandchildren Shian, Savannah, Javeon, Julian, Thomas, Katie, Bobby and 2 great grandchildren Hamony and Malachi with a third and one on the way and 9 nieces and nephews; siblings Ronald Hess,(Frances) Ellen Knight,(Dudley)

Preceded in death by her sister Mary Jayne Rubsam, 2009, brother-in-law Richard Rubsam, 2018.

As a family we are going to deeply miss her. She was a Daughter, a Wife, a Mother, a Sister, an Aunt, and a Friend, to many. She was our everything and now she is our Angel.

Service will be at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery on March 25, 2021 at 10am.
