Please accept our love and appreciation for the life of a man who was a credit to our family name, in every way.
Charles Robert Voyles Sr., 90, passed away on October 19, 2020. He was born on July 2, 1930 to Charles T. and Effie Mae Voyles in Chandler, Indiana.
Charles served his country in the United States Navy. After his service, he became a truck driver for over 60 years. Charles enjoyed golfing, playing cards, and making Pinewood Derby cars. Charles was a kindhearted man who would do anything for anyone. Above all else, Charles loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Charles is survived by his children Jo Ann (Steve) Proctor, Charlie Voyles, and Jeff (Shawn) Voyles; his grandchildren Kristie (Rob) Fisher, Nikki (Garrett) Voyles, Josh (Michele) Proctor, Kira (Nathan) Wahl, and Vance (Cat) Voyles; his great-grandchildren Kailey (Sam), Kobe, Grant, Robert, Andrew, Presleigh, Porter, Lynnden, Lauren, and Logan; his great-great grandson Oliver; his brother Joe Voyles; and many loving nieces and nephews.
Charles was preceded in death by his wife Norma Voyles; his son Donnie Ray Voyles; his siblings Thomas Voyles and Maggie Holloway; and his parents.
Visitation will be from 2 p.m. until time of service at 3 p.m. Friday, October 23rd at Sunset Funeral Home. Due to Covid concerns, the family asks that only family attend.
