Dwayne “Elroy” Gordon, 53, passed away on June 18th 2023. Dwayne was born on December 5th, 1969 to Yvonne (Gordon) Heneisen and Larry Gordon in Evansville, IN.
Dwayne graduated from Bosse High School and went on to enjoy a career in automotive repair for 50 yrs. Dwayne enjoyed dragster racing, motorcycle riding, and could usually be found in the garage enjoying his passion of automotive work. If it had a motor, he could repair it.
Dwayne is survived by his wife Amy, his son Wesley, by his brothers Larry Scott Porter Sr. and Robert (Melissa) Gordon, his mother Yvonne, his step-mother Mary Jane “Janie” Gordon, his Aunt Charlene “Sissy” Gordon, his nieces Alyssa and Kimberly, and nephews Larry Scott Porter Jr., Dillon and Preston. He is also survived by his two grandchildren.
Dwayne was preceded in death by his father Larry, grandparents Charles and Helen Gordon, Margie and Harold Jones, and his uncle Paul Jones.
Services for Dwayne “Elroy” Gordon will be held at a later date and time.
