I hope she can find peace now. My dad I am sure he is waiting for her. Because he has so much to say.
Ellen (Jane) Hobby, 89, of Evansville, Indiana passed away Tuesday, August 28, 2018 in Georgetown, Kentucky. She was born November 19, 1928, daughter of Ruth and Everett Glass in Princeton, Kentucky. She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Alton Hobby; second husband, James E. Hunsaker; and beloved sister Gloria Ray.
She is survived by her 4 children: Barry (Sherry) Hobby of Evansville, Tim (Kim) Hobby of Jackson, Tennessee, Karen (Brad) Willis of Georgetown, Kentucky and Randy (Nancy) Hobby of Santa Claus, Indiana; 10 grandchildren: Hollie (Aaron) Phillips, Heather Hobby, Jenny Hobby, Jaime (Josh) Pridde, John (Heather) Hobby, Sarah Hobby, Dave (Ashley) Willis, Ben (Anne) Willis, Drew (Erin) Willis, Ryan (Tammy) Hobby and 16 great grandchildren. She also leaves a beloved sister and brother, Mary Katherine Myer of Evansville and Edward (Jean) Glass of Princeton, Kentucky, and many precious nieces and nephews.
Jane was a wonderful cook, and made the most delicious pies. She was also very creative. Later in life, she enjoyed painting and writing poetry; a few of which went on to be published. She was, however, most known for her strong faith and love of Jesus Christ. She was very loved and will be dearly missed.
A visitation will be held at Sunset Funeral Home in Evansville, Indiana on Saturday, September 1, 2018 beginning at 9 o’clock in the morning. A service will be held directly after at 11 AM. Following the service will be a graveside burial at Crossroads Cemetery in Princeton, Kentucky at 3:00 PM.
