She worked at Kent and Ball Plastics for over 40 years where she enjoyed her work and the friends she formed while there. She was a Christian woman who was raised in the Tennyson General Baptist Church where her dad was deacon. She had wonderful parents, Lloyd and Lillian Shelton. She learned to play piano early in her life. She enjoyed travel, crossword puzzles, and had an affection for kitty cats. She enjoyed having her hair done by her dear friend Mary Beth Capps.

Later in life, after becoming a widow to her late husband William Farmer of Tennyson IN, she enjoyed spending time in her sunroom watching the birds, butterflies and squirrels.
