Gale L. Walton, 81, passed away November 19, 2018 at his home in Bristow, Indiana.
Gale was born in Marengo, Indiana on August 2, 1937 to the late Curtis and Lily (Stroud) Walton. He is also preceded in death by his brothers, Gerald and Junior Walton, and a grandson, Timothy Kellems.
Gale owned and operated Walton Livestock with his son, Curtis which they both took extreme pride in. Gale was passionate about his love of cattle up until the day he passed. He loved going to cattle sales, buying cattle in the country, and enjoyed watching them at the farms. Most days you could see him just sitting and admiring the cattle, or raising his hand bidding on some. Gale also enjoyed fishing at his lake, and having ice cream.
Gale leaves behind many people that adored him, including his children, Lorie Lemmons (Kate), Evansville, Tim Walton (Cindy), Princeton, Rich Walton, Evansville and Curtis Walton (Amy), Evansville; his companion of 27 years, Carol Jean Lamkin, Bristow, her daughter, Brenda Leistner, Lincoln City; grandchildren, Logan, Christina, Bethany, Erika, Alexis, Maddie, Crewz, Carly, Shawna, and Sarah; six great-grandchildren; sister in law, Helen Walton, Marengo; and Gale’s sidekick and driver, Eric Ruppel, Vincennes, who will miss him greatly.
Visitation will be held Wednesday from 3:00-7:00 PM CST at Huber Funeral Home, 1139 12th Street, Tell City.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM CST Friday, November 23, 2018 at Sunset Funeral Home and Memorial Park in Evansville, with visitation from 9:00 AM until service time at Sunset Funeral Home, with burial to follow.
