Gary Alan Schwake, age 70, passed away on Saturday, October 31, 2020. Gary was born to Alvin J. and Marjorie (Gore) Schwake on January 3, 1950 in Evansville, Indiana.
Gary served his country in the United States Air Force retiring after 24 years of service. After retiring from the service, Gary worked in sales for office supply companies in Texas. Gary enjoyed Vintage Car Shows, showing off his prize winning 1969 yellow Ford Galaxy convertible. Gary also played on two bowling leagues at Franklin Lanes and loved his once a month game night playing Clabber and other games with his Evansville sisters and best friend Doug. Gary also loved the horse track and casino. Additionally, Gary had two #1 teams his entire life, the Boston Celtics and the Dallas Cowboys.
Gary is preceded in death by his parents, his second mom June Windsor and his brother Victor. He is survived by his son Timothy Schwake; sisters Carolyn (Bob) Preston, Glenda Levsey, Lea Gelarden, Debbie (David) McKasson, and Mitzi Windsor. In addition, Gary is survived by 12 nieces, 9 nephews, 10 great-nieces, 15 great-nephews, 4 great great-nieces, and 3 great great-nephews.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at New Life Ministries on Saturday, November 14, 2020 at 10 A.M. with military honors to follow.
