The Staff of Lakeside Manor says
March 7, 2022 at 2:21 pmPlease accept our most heartfelt sympathies for your loss. Our thoughts are with your family during this difficult time. Helen will remain in our hearts forever.
Helen M. Boyer went to her Heavenly Home to be with Jesus while surrounded by loved ones in her home on March 2, 2022, of the age 96.
Helen was born to Marguerite (Burnette) Boyer and Roy Irvin Boyer on September 17th, 1925, in Hamilton County, McLeansboro, Illinois.
After graduating Benton Township High School, she held a couple of clerical positions that led her to Evansville, IN to Hayes Freight Lines Company (Shipyards). She finished her career with the Illinois Employment Service / Manpower for twenty years. She was a loving daughter, sister, and aunt. She selflessly took care of her parents until they passed.
Throughout her entire life, Helen was a devoted and loyal servant to God and ministered for eighteen years. She held an unwavering faith which she shared with those who surrounded her. The simplest pleasures in life brought great joy for Helen. She loved quiet times visiting with friends and family.
Helen joins her mother and father in Heaven. She is survived by one brother, Irvin Boyer (Carolyn); and 5 nieces and nephews, Kathy Robinson (Earl), Carol Cage (Russ), Debbie Collier (Robert), Craig Boyer (Jeannette), Scott Boyer (Keitha), as well as 9 great nieces and nephews, and 16 great grand nieces and nephews.
In addition to her family members, Helen was blessed with a faithful and loving caregiver Tanya Jacques with Home Instead Senior Care. Tanya was devoted and dedicated and provided excellent care enabling Helen to remain in her home until her passing.
The family would also like to thank the staff of Home Instead Senior Care for their compassion and care.
Services for Helen will be held at Sunset Funeral Home on Monday, March 7th, 2022, at 10am. Burial will take place later that day at Oddfellows Cemetery in Benton, Illinois.
