Jamey, words cannot describe the hole left in all of our lives now that you are gone! I had the privilege of being in your life and see you become a proud father and hard working man. As with most of if us it was not an easy path but you rose to the occasion. We will forever miss your devious grin and I look forward to the day when we are reunited in Heaven. We love you Jamey!!

Jamey Lee Grant of Newburgh, Indiana, passed away on September 6th , 2022, at 34 years young. He was born August 24th , 1988, to Robert and Beth Grant “Hamby”.

Jamey was extremely proud to follow in his father’s footsteps, being a dedicated iron worker and
member of the Local 103 Union. When naming Jamey his dad being an iron worker, determined his
initials were going to be JLG to match their favorite piece of equipment. Appropriately, Jamey followed
in his dad’s tradition with his youngest daughter, Jamie Lynn Grant’s initials. Jamey was the “MacGyver”
of the family, helping fix anything he could. In his free time, Jamey could be found fishing, playing Xbox,
and spending time with his daughters who were his world. Growing up, Jamey loved to go to the flea
market with his grandparents, Dean and Dean Hamby.

Jamey is survived by his mother Beth Grant, his father Robert and Andrea(wife) Grant; his two
daughters, Amy Marie and Jamie Lynn Grant; their mother, Theresa Frank; step-daughter, Virginia Frank; siblings, Amanda Grant, Corey Grant, and Robert Grant; aunts and uncles, Belinda (Bill) Grannan, Jon (Kim) Hamby, Paul (Amy) Hamby; cousins, Zachary Payne, Lexie (Clay) Tungate, Zoie (Jeremiah) Bruner, Elsie Hamby, Kristie (Michael) May, Michael Powell, Natalie Rae (Jason Reed) Powell, Samantha Jo Hamby, Bailey (Dakota) Collins, Sieara (Matt Thompson) Patterson, and Justin Bauer. Jamey is also survived by special friends including Tyler Light, Brandon Schmidt, Dasha Murphy, Tavis Corbin, and Gregg Barr as well as many other friends and extended family.
