June 3, 2020 at 4:52 pmI was very fortunate to have Jan in my life as an adolescent and throughout my teen years. Jan’s stepson, Keith, and I spent about every day together during those years playing sports, watching ESPN, eating pizza, pretending we were sick trying to get out of going school or getting in trouble for jumping in the house. It was during those years that I saw in Jan his strong entrepreneurial spirit and love for his family. That entrepreneurial drive inspired me and I admired his commitment to his employees and the legacy of this family business. I always appreciated his direct candor on any topic and at any time whether in a crowd or a private discussion. He had a great sense of humor and was always ready to have a good time. Jan, you will definitely be missed in my heart. Thanks for being you!! Love, Derek
