October 5, 2019 at 1:28 amShe had the most contagious laugh and I would do anything to make her laugh just to hear her. I loved being near her she was always happy. I know that there are many in heaven waiting for her. I love you Aunt Jessie
Jessie R. Stevens, 83, went home to be with the Lord on October 3, 2019. She was born on March 15, 1936 to Gladys Bridger in Mosheim, Texas.
Jessie had a good heart and cared for everyone she met. Jessie loved the Lord and attended Faith Church of the Nazarene. She worked for the airport in the security department for over 29 years. Jessie enjoyed crossword puzzles, crocheting, and putting puzzles together. She and her son would glue them together and hang them up. Jessie enjoyed writing letters. She wrote to her husband when he was in the military and her family members who lived in Texas. Jessie wanted to make sure everyone she met knew that they were loved.
Jessie is survived by her children Janey Stevens and Bryan B. Stevens; grandchildren Jessica Webb (Adam Fischer) and Erica Webb; great-granddaughter Tegan Nicole Malin; and many loving nieces, nephews, and in-laws.
Jessie was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years Harold B. Stevens; her son Jeffrey Stevens; her parents; and her siblings Wayne Bridger and Patsy Threadgill.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until time of service at 12 p.m. on Monday, October 7th at Sunset Funeral Home with a burial to directly follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
