Joan A. Moore, 65, of Newburgh, IN passed away, Friday, July 13, 2018. She was born December 31, 1952 daughter of Melvin and June Whitaker. Joan retired from Keller Crescent Company in 1990. After thirteen years of service there, she became a stay at home mom to her four children.
Joan was known for her love of church, sewing, knitting, canning, cooking, fishing, and traveling around the United States. Most of all she was known for the love she had for her family.
Joan is survived by her spouse of 33 years, Robert Moore; children, Andy Moore, Clint Moore (Brianna), Jamie Bleich (Dustin), and Cody Moore; father, Melvin Whitaker; brothers, Daniel Whitaker (Ginny) and Jeff Whitaker (Tina); and several nieces and nephews.
Joan is preceded in death by mother, June Whitaker.
Services will be held at Sunset Funeral Home on July 19, 2018 at 11:00 am with burial following at Sunset Memorial Park. The family will receive friends July 18, 2018 from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
For those who wish, memorial contributions may be given to Visiting Nurses Association, Chancellors Cancer Center or North Haven Church.
