January 22, 2022 at 12:30 amUncle Joe and dad, came to Ft Knox In June 78 to pick me up. The basic training company I was assigned to had been given a weekend off and Joe kept dad company for the 2 hour trip there and back. I slept. I think he enjoyed being on the Army base for a couple hours. I was glad to see them both pull up and get me off that base for awhile.
Uncle Joe was always easy to be around, funny and willing to share his views on a variety of subjects.
I was happy to hang with him and Aunt Ann for several different events over the years.
I was lucky for him to be my uncle.
RIP Uncle Joe
