July 15, 2020 at 5:13 amI am so sorry for all those missing this beautiful woman today. Even though I’m a grown woman, she will always be Mrs. Williams to me. She was an angel on earth, and had a way of taking her students under her wing and making us feel so sheltered in her love. I will never forget her singing – as a child I was just in awe of her angelic, powerful and faith-filled voice. You could feel every word she sang, and I can only imagine her beautiful song now. My prayers are with you all.

Brian and i bought our very first home from you – a 12×52 trailer and it was the best home ever. $5000 we paid for it and we thought we were the luckiest couple on earth! Julie Nell Williams, 67, passed away on July 9, 2020 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on February 20, 1953 to Clarence Alvin and Wanda Fisher Jr. in Evansville, Indiana.
Julie was a teacher at Sts. Peter and Paul for 36 years and retired in 2014. Julie was a social butterfly. She loved hanging out with her friends and going out to eat with them. Julie loved the Smokey Mountains. Every year she would go to Gatlinburg with her family. She enjoyed sitting out on the porch in a rocking chair with her family and a cup of coffee. Julie was a wonderful singer. She enjoyed singing at weddings and at the school she taught at. Julie was a member of Bethel Church. She was so strong in her faith and touch so many people with her love and compassion. She also enjoyed collecting pigs.
Julie is survived by her daughter Mandy (Danny) Thomas; her grandson Cooper Alexander Thomas; her brothers James (Katie) Fisher and Jack (Rheta) Fisher; her nieces and nephews Becky (Tabatha) Fisher, Rachael Fisher, Elizabeth (Larry) Kalinowski, Jon Fisher, Sarah (James) Thiry, Joshua (Lucy) Fisher, Christopher (Dana) Williams, Adam (Sallie) Williams, Mikayla (Zach) Williams, Sarah (Luke) Williams, Brian (Tammy) Nichol, and Terri (Craig) Riesenmey; many great-nieces and nephews; her dear friend Wendelene Kluesner and her family; and many other loving friends.
Julie was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. Monday, July 13th at Sunset Funeral Home. A service will begin at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 14th at Sunset Funeral Home with a burial to directly follow at Sunset Memorial Park. Family and friends can visit from 10 a.m. until time of service.
