Karl W. Bechtel, 79, passed away on October 19, 2020. He was born on July 21, 1941 to Karl and Josephine Bechtel in Mansfield, Ohio.
Karl was an outdoorsman. He was an avid fisherman and hunter. He loved to hunt with his friend at their hunting camp the lovingly named Dickweed Hunting Club in Hogstadt. Karl worked as a supervisor at PPG Industries for over 40 years. Karl loved spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren. He enjoyed attending and supporting his grandchildren at their sporting events. Karl was a member of the Moose Lodge.
Karl is survived by his wife of 58 years Carol Bechtel; his daughters Christy Schneider and Lisa (Scott) Beasley; his grandchildren Dylan Meeks, Lauren Schneider, Collin Schneider, Brittni Smith, Tasha Bechtel, and Teiha Bechtel; his great-grandchildren Mikayla Smith and Bryan Bechtel; his brother Charles (Johanna) Bechtel; and many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Karl was preceded in death by his son Brian Bechtel and his parents.
