Kenneth Earl Ivy, 90, passed away on August 10, 2021. He was born on April 13, 1931, in Mayfield, Kentucky to Earl and Nadine (Wyatt) Ivy.
Kenneth was a great man who never met a stranger. In April of 1951, Kenneth joined the Army. After dating for a year, he married the love of his life, Ann, in September of 1951. Together they enjoyed gardening and sharing the vegetables with their neighborhood. Kenneth also enjoyed riding his horses and taking care of his steers, chickens, and bird dogs. Attending church was also very important as his faith has always been great. Kenneth worked in the tile and marble industry for over 50 years. Overall, Kenneth led a Godly and happy home. The life he built with Ann was rich and beautiful. Kenneth loved spending time with his family and making memories. He will be missed dearly by everyone who knew him.
Kenneth is survived by his wife of 70 years, Ann; his son, Kenneth W. (Peggy) Ivy; his granddaughter, Kimberly (Dave) Clark; a great grandson, Jackson David Clark; many loving nieces and nephews; and long-time friend, Ann Hammonds.
Kenneth is preceded in death by his parents; his siblings, J.C. Ivy and Helen Francis; his stepmother, Gladys Ivy; and his great friend, Marshall Hammonds.
Services will be private.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to their home church, First Southern Baptist Church.
