Kristi Anne Cherry, 55, went home to be with the Lord on February 15, 2019. She was born on February 9, 1964 to John and Marjorie Alvey in Evansville, IN.
Kristi was a free spirit. She loved her family with all her heart and loved spending time with them as much as she could. In her life time, Kristi graduated from Central High school, attended UE, and Ivy Tech. She also had a modeling career and was an Activities Director for a nursing home. She would also help Ron with his car detailing business. Most of all, Kristi was a homemaker and took care of her loving family.
Kristi is survived by the love of her life Ron Cherry; her children Kristin Alvey-Smith-Lay (Josh Wichser), Dylan Combs, Lexus Cherry (Damian Schaefer), Camry Cherry (Voldie Mayes); son-in-law Jerry Lay; grandson Tyler Lay; her sister Debbie Meyer; father John Alvey; several nieces and nephews; and Nanny’s baby boy Rylee Southers.
Kristi was preceded in death by her mother Marjorie Alvey; her son Gray Combs; and her brothers Steve Stinson, Teddy Alvey and Jimmy Stinson.
Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. until time of service at 12 p.m. Monday, February 25th at Sunset Funeral Home with a burial to directly follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
