Lavon Christine Mitz, 89, passed away on March 17, 2020. She was born March 3, 1931 to the late Nancy and Millard Harris.
Lavon enjoyed traveling on long trips in her family RV with her husband James, on their trips they would do everything from going to casinos near and far to camping under the night sky. Lavon was exceptional at fishing. Among her activities she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends the most.
Lavon is survived by her loving husband of, 42 years, James R. Mitz; son William Severse; granddaughter Denise Alexander; two great grandchildren; and many cousins and nieces and nephews.
Lavon is preceded in death by her parents; sons Stephen and Thomas Severse; and four sisters.
Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Sunday March 22nd, 2020 at Sunset Funeral Home. Services will be held Monday March 23rd, 2020 at 11:00 at Sunset Funeral home, with a burial to directly follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
