I will continue to remember her for being a generous and caring person. I miss seeing Lechia at school and I hope that her family knows how much Lechia was LOVED by the staff at Harwood.
Lechia Fay Burkhart, 58, of Evansville IN passed away Monday, January 27, 2020. She was born in Evansville, IN on February 14, 1961.
She was employed by EVSC food service for over 27 years. Lechia enjoyed shopping, spending time with friends, fishing, stomping in the woods with her husband, watching UK basketball, feeding the students at Harwood School, and loving her cat Ecko.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Helen Todd.
Lechia is survived by her husband Bob; daughter, Amanda (Randy); sisters, Trish and Shelia; and father, Fred Todd.
A Celebration of Lechia’s Life will be held 4-7 p.m. Thursday, February 6, 2020 at Sunset Funeral Home. A private graveside service will be February 7, 2020.
Memorial contributions may be made in Lechia’s memory to Vanderburgh Humane Society.
