Mary Catherine (Lucas) Rose, 72, went home to be with the Lord on October 27, 2022. She was born on October 19, 1950, in Logan, West Virginia, to Woodrow and Marie Lucas.
Mary was a vibrant and devoted mother, wife, daughter, sister, and grandmother. She enjoyed going fishing and collecting pretty things with hummingbirds and butterflies on them. She also enjoyed having date night at Red Lobster with her husband, Ray. She was proud of her heritage, being that she was part Cherokee Indian. Mary had green thumb, she loved growing flowers and plants and having them around the house. Mary was also crazy about her fur babies, Casey, Shadow, Cloe, Able, and Gunner.
Mary is survived by her husband of 31 years, Clifford “Ray” Rose; her children Misty (Glen Leaver) Troutman and Michael Tyring; her grandchildren, Zachary, Caleb, Gabriel, Jace, and Aiden; her sister, Anna (Charlie) Davis; her very close friend, Sandy; and many loving nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Mary is preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Barbara; and her pup, ChaChee.
Services for Mary will be held at Sunset Funeral Home’s Shepherd Chapel Mausoleum on Tuesday, November 1, 2022. Visitation will start at 11:00am, with the service to begin at 12:00pm. Dale Beavers will be officiating the service.
