Mary Loraine “Lorie” Lemmons, 55, passed away on Saturday, October 30, 2021 at Linda E White Hospice with Kate by her side on the 20th Anniversary of their first date.  She was born to Kathy Walton and John R. Williams in Vincennes, Indiana on December 7, 1965.  After John R. Williams passed away in 1979 she was adopted by Gale Walton.

Lorie was so kind, caring, and compassionate.  She would do anything to help anyone in need.  She was called to nursing and was a devoted nurse for 35 years and did everything she could for her staff and patients.  Lorie enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking, traveling, crafting, and scrapbooking.  Most importantly she enjoyed spending time with Kate and their dog Indi.  Kate, Lorie, and Indi went everywhere together traveling all over as Lorie was a traveling nurse and went all over the United States helping people in need.  She was a part of the beginning of the Deaconess call center.  Lorie was an advocate for equality and fair treatment.  They also enjoyed dressing up and doing historic programs.  Lorie also enjoyed helping people turn their photos into scrapbooks with her Creative Memories business.  She had also recently started being a Pampered Chef Consultant.  Lorie also loved playing poker in her spare time and had been in many poker tournaments over the years including the World Poker Tournaments.

Lorie will be missed by her loving wife of 16 years Kate and her dog Indi.  She is also survived by her mother Kathy Walton and her brothers; Rich Walton, Tim (Cindy) Walton, Curtis (Amy) Walton, and sister in law Lynell Walton. Also missing her are many nieces and nephews; Logan, Christina, Bethany, Erika, Alexis, Maddie, Crewz, and Carly.  Lorie is also survived by her Aunt Kristy Wright and Uncle Jeff Horn as well as many cousins.  Lorie is also survived by many friends in particular; Don and Stephanie Pitchers, Terri and Jim Walrod family, Christa and Todd Bennet, The Robert Fitzhugh family, the Robb family, and our SCA family.

Lorie is preceded in death by her fathers John R. Williams and Gale Walton, her Uncle Michael Horn, and grandparents Mary and Sanford Horn.

The family would like to thank Linda E. White Hospice for their loving care of Lorie.
