Steven J. Godwin

Steven J. Godwin, 65, died on September 14, 2020. He was born on October 8, 1954 to Robert and Nadine Godwin in Evansville, Indiana.

Steve was a retired coal miner. He worked for White County Coal. Steven loved to golf as often as he could. He was a member of the Howell Park Mens Club. Above all else, he loved spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren.

Steve is survived by his wife of 30 years Beth Palmer; his children Andi (Shaun) Waters and Zac (Sarah) Godwin; his grandchildren Sophia Rosenmeier, Keegan Rosenmeier, Peyton Waters, Paige Waters, and Ben Godwin; his sister Cindy (Phil) Offerman; several loving nephews and cousins; and his beloved cats Domino and Stubby.

Steve was preceded in death by his brother Jim Godwin and his parents.

The family would like to thank the employees at the Linda E. White Hospice House and the staff at the Deaconess Midtown 5^th floor comfort care unit for their care of Steve. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Steve’s favorite organization, the Vanderburgh Humane Society.
