Tanya Kay Riley, 73, passed away on November 16, 2022. She was born on September 26, 1949, in Evansville, Indiana.
Tanya was a devoted mother, loving grandmother and great-grandmother, and caring friend. She was a joy to be around; if you knew Tanya, you knew you were in for an exciting time. Tanya could make all her loved ones smile and laugh at all times. Tanya was so friendly and loved by all. She was extremely skilled in crafting; she made wreaths, painted furniture, and had an eye for all arts. She was such a hard worker, she worked for Vectren for 40+ years. Tanya put her heart into all that she did. In her spare time, she enjoyed playing cards, fishing, attending yard sales, and playing Pac-Man. She loved her cats fiercely, Kit, Misty, and Leo. Above all, her family meant the world to her and she will be missed greatly.
Tanya is survived by her sons Chad (Tammy) Riley and Jason (Rachael) Riley; grandchildren Dennis Hooker, Whitney Hooker, Allexis (Keenan) Riley, Allen’Michael Riley, Jenna Riley, Laura Riley; 6 great-grandchildren; brother Paul Werner; and numerous extended family members.
Tanya was preceded in death by her mother Alice Ward and brother Jay Ward.
A Memorial Service for Tanya will be held at a later date.
