Laura Ellen Clemons (White), 87, of Evansville IN passed away June 29, 2023. Born to Margaret and Roy White on March 25, 1936, Laura was blessed to be in a family with six siblings; Agnes Lamb (Ike), Norma Cronin (Ernie), Richard White (Ruby), Judy Meiner (Don, Margaret Kay Young (Pete) and Janet Covington (Danny) whom she loved. Later, in 1954, Laura married Larry Clemons and together they raised four children; Terry Grimwood (Robert), Anita Huebner (Don), Larry Clemons Jr (Debbie), and Randy Clemons (Cindy). Also blessed with eight grandchildren; Carey Allen (Nic), Tiffany Lindenschmidt (Kurt), Robert Grimwood, Alan Grimwood (Racheal), Randy Clemons Jr., Breanna Clemons, Jennifer Zoph (Jeremy), and Katherine Epley (Warren); ten great-grandchildren; Brinden Morell, Kyle Lindenschmidt, Derek Lindenschmidt, Camden Grimwood, Raina Grimwood, Madison Williamson, Lily Zoph, Anslei Allen, Mylee Allen, and Seth Lindenschmidt. Seth and Larry were holding open Heaven’s gates together for Laura on June 29th, 2023. Laura also leaves behind many nieces, nephews and friends, along with special nephew Chris Wilson.
Laura worked for FW Means as lead lady for many years. She retired at age 62 and was satisfied with her life. She enjoyed fishing, bowling, puzzles, traveling, playing cards and loved her family. Her most loved of all was Larry – Laura was with him in everything they did, so it was no surprise that she called in hospice for him so she could continue to care for Larry until he passed. They will be missed by all who knew them.
Services will be held at Sunset Funeral Home on Monday, July 3rd, with visitation from 10am until 12pm and funeral service starting at 12pm with burial to follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
