Vernon Schwartz passed away on July 19, 2023. He was born on September 18, 1941.
Vernon proudly served his country in the Army National Guard. He devoted over 20 years to working for Madisonville Police Department. He received an award for honor and high distinction UD and Intelligence for the U.S. Secret Service. He shared the most amazing stories from his time in the service. Vernon enjoyed going to gun shows and had an impressive collection of older guns. He loved the Hadi Shriners. Above all, he loved his grandchildren and family more than anything.
Vernon is survived by his step-daughter Christa Smith; brother Fred Schwartz and Leon Schwartz; grandchildren Zachary Sheats (Bristene), Madison Sheats, Emmett Jewel; Son-in-law Rodney Sheats; several other loving extended family.
Vernon was preceded in death by his daughter Jessica Sheats.
Burial for Vernon will be held at Sunset Memorial Park at 10 am on Thursday, July 27th, 2023.
